Describe a good law in your country | IELTS Speaking Topic

Describe a good law in your country.

The law is an accurate system of rules that a society or government develops to deal with crime, business agreements, and social structure.

It can also be defined as ‘the science of justice’ and ‘the art of justice’.
Time by time bureaucracy needs to amend different laws that affect directly to the common folk.

Here, I would like to discuss the right of children to free and compulsory education act.

This act has been enacted on 4th August 2009 which evaluates the importance of free and mandatory primary education for children between 6 to 14 years in India under article 21A of the Indian constitution.

Thereafter, India became one of 135 countries to make education a fundamentals right of every child.

According to this act no child shall be held back, expelled or required to pass the board examination until the completion of primary education.

There are certain rules under this act:

1: It is obligatory for the government to provide free and compulsory elementary education up to class 8th.

2: This act lays down norms and standards relating to pupil-teacher-ratios, classrooms separate toilets for girls and boys, drinking water facility, number of school-working hours of teachers.

3: The act mandates the appointment of appropriately trained teachers.

4: This act prohibits physical punishment and mental harassment to students.

5: The act surely makes all the private schools reserve 25% of the total seats for children belonging to destitute families or underprivileged backgrounds.

6: So, all these regulations create opportunities for the children who can’t afford expensively private education in our society government even should be more focused on the betterment of the education system of society.
